ACL injury is managed by arthroscopy where small keyhole incisions are made through which ACL ligament is reconstructed. This is a very precise technique with minimal tissue trauma. Hence recovery is quite fast with very less pain. Once the ligament heals patient is allowed to carry all activities without any restrictions.
PCL Reconstruction Surgery Posterior cruciate ligament is very strong ligament and provides stability to the knee joint from behind. Rupture of PCL ligament is quite uncommon in relation to ACL ligament injury and this usually happen in severe injury. PCL can be rupture either in the middle or it can get avulsed from its bony attachment at the tibia. Avulsed bony fragment is fixed with screws and it may be done arthroscopically.
